Chinese mother tongue class

CIG Advanced Chinese Course
CIG has opened up “Advanced Chinese Course” since September 2012. It is a five-year progressive course. In the past few years, the course gained great success and was much appreciated by our students and parents. By demand we launched two new classes on Thursdays and Fridays from September 2018.
COURSE DETAILS:
1. WHO: Primary and secondary school students with Chinese mother tongue, who already reach HSK 5 or equivalent level for listening and speaking, and HSK 3 or equivalent level for reading and writing.
2. REGISTRATION: There will be an interview after online registration. Only those who pass the interview will become our formal students.
3. SYLLABUS: A wide coverage of Chinese intensive reading, Chinese extensive reading, news reading, news listening, famous masterpieces, ancient literature, Chinese writing, novels appreciation, Chinese history and Chinese culture.
4. TEXTBOOK: To be selected by the teacher in accordance with students’ level.
5. CLASS SCHEDULE: Once per week for 2 hours. Thursdays or Fridays, 17:15 – 19:15
We follow the Geneva public school calendar in terms of vacations.
6. CLASS LOCATION: Classroom 308, Ecole Necker, Rue Necker 4, 1201 Geneva
7. TUITION FEE: CHF1050 per year (costs of textbook and workbook not included)

Beginner

1. With basic Chinese ability
2. Understand simple expressing
3. Communicate with basic Chinese knowledge in daily social life
4. Monitor about 600 Chinese characters
