Chinese New Year celebration at the Ecolint International School of Geneva

On the 2nd day of the Lunar New Year of the Rabbit 2023, CIG held a celebration event at the International School of Geneva (Ecolint) LGB campus.

CIG teachers arrived early to set up the venue, decorating it with red banners, lanterns, rabbit mascots, Chinese knots, and other Chinese elements, creating a festive atmosphere for the children.

The event included not only New Year crafts such as paper cutting, calligraphy experience and rabbit engraving, but also a dragon dance performance, providing an immersive experience of Chinese New Year customs.

Students from the elementary school to high school, as well as teachers, participated in the event during their break time. Everyone was actively involved, experiencing the diversity of Chinese culture. Each took turns doing the crafts with a happy and curious expression, marveling at the mysterious calligraphy they had completed by hand.

The dragon dance brought the atmosphere to a climax, with students eagerly dancing the dragon head and the ball. They personally felt the unique charm of Chinese culture.
